FreeLab is a software suite for computer assisted experimental data aquisition and treatment for Linux. It is a network oriented application with a server side running as root and a client side. Most of the code is independant of the client's desktop. I am currently developping a user interface for the Gnome desktop. servers and clients communicate by sockets.
FreeLab is not a LabView® clone.
FreeLab is in an early development stage. Nothing is available at the moment, not even a screenshot. Libraries are in the 0.1.x version and are fairly stable. Drivers are in development for a spectrophotometer (Secomam S500.I) and a numeric HP oscilloscope (this one in very early development stage).
