bsplit home page

version française

bsplit is a small utility that splits large files in several files that can be copied to floppies or other removable storage medias. It can be used at least with Linux and Windows. The only language supported is french.

To split a file just type: bsplit filename and you obtain files named filename0, filename1 and so on. The files obtained have by default the size of an msdos floppy. For ext2 floppies, you can use: bsplit -b 1024 -n 1321 filename.

For the inverse operation, you can use: bsplit -u filename.

For the Windows version options are /b /n /u and so on instead of -b -n -u.

Current version is 0.3. As other more advanced programs are available elsewhere, I will not maintain it further.
